The Kimberley Nature Project is seeking an

Ecologist —Project Officer (0.8FTE)

$67,275 (1FTE) pro rata + 9.5% superannuation
0.8 FTE until June 2018, with the intent to extend it pending future funding
Relocation support (up to 2k) negotiable.
5 weeks annual leave including 17.5% loading

Environs Kimberley is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated ecologist with good social skills, who is passionate about natural cultural resource management in the Kimberley.

The person will have strong ecological knowledge and experience with Northern Australian or Arid ecosystems with a preference for botanical skills, a scientific and/or CNRM background, project management skills, written and oral communication skills, and experience or an understanding of Indigenous caring for Country activities and proper processes of Indigenous engagement.

Our office is based in Broome and the position would be involved in a number of projects working primarily with Aboriginal Rangers across the Kimberley region, in particular the Dampier Peninsula, 80 Mile Beach, Fitzroy River Valley and the Great Sandy Desert areas.
