Kimberley Weed Cards

The Environs Kimberley Weed Cards were originally created as part of the EK Community WEED Project in 2007-09. This was funded by Rangelands NRM WA through the Natural Heritage Trust.

In 2010, with assistance from the Weeds Society of WA and the Environmental Weeds Action Network, the West Kimberley Nature Project was able to produce a revised edition of the Kimberley Weed Cards.  The laminated cards are practical for use in the field and include 55 weeds found throughout the Kimberley as well as new and uncommon weeds to watch out for. The weeds have full colour pictures of the leaf, flower and other important features to assist weed identification. The weeds are categorised into their life forms; Weedy vines and scramblers, Trees and woody shrubs, Grass weeds, Herb weeds and Water weeds and include useful control information for each life form.

These cards are freely available from the Environs Kimberley office or market stall, or contact Kylie Weatherall  to have them sent out to you. A donation toward postage is greatly appreciated.
