The Gooniyandi Rangers work on country to the southeast of Fitzroy Crossing, including the Fitzroy River and floodplains, and limestone range country. In addition to Bilby surveys and protection from feral cats, we have been working with the Gooniyandi Rangers on monitoring springs prior to the arrival of cane toads. We have found 12 frog species, and some other critters, during nocturnal surveys in the wet seasons of 2016 and 2017.
