Buru Energy AGM Action RSVP 2025

Despite widespread community support for a Frack Free Kimberley, Buru Energy is still pushing ahead with plans to industrialise the region with oil and gas developments. Buru Energy is proposing to develop a major fossil fuel industrial complex 150 km east of Broome.

In addition to restarting its ‘Ungani’ oil production and export facility, Buru Energy is proposing to develop its ‘Rafael’ conventional gas field, including LNG and condensate production. According to Buru Energy the proposal would also involve new pipelines, roads and a carbon capture and storage facility In the globally significant Kimberley region.

Buru Energy also holds the ‘Yulleroo’ unconventional gas field, where it has previously fracked and has not ruled out fracking there again in the future.

Buru Energy’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, May 21 st, 8.30 am at The Park Business Centre in West Perth, is the perfect opportunity to remind them that we don’t want industrialisation of the Kimberley.

Shareholders will be making decisions about the company’s future fossil fuel plans at the AGM, so they will be very sensitive to any community opposition. Join us this Wednesday with your Frack Free Kimberley shirts and yellow triangles for a morning of action and making a lot of noise! We must tell them that the Kimberley is no place for fossil fuel extraction.
