Nigel grew up on the South Coast of NSW, and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Hons.) from the University of Wollongong. Since 2006, he has worked on threatened species projects for government agencies in NSW and Canada, as an environmental consultant for resource and renewable energy projects throughout WA, and, most recently, managed the Broome Bird Observatory on the northern shores of Roebuck Bay.  Nigel specialises in providing technical advice and monitoring threatened fauna, with a particular focus on migratory shorebirds and the enigmatic Night Parrot.
