Minister Swinbourne must reject Texan frackers!
Minister Swinbourne Has the Power to Stop Black Mountain Fracking in the Kimberley!
Newly elected WA Minister for the Environment, Matthew Swinbourne, has the authority to reject the current proposal from Texan fracking company Black Mountain.
Black Mountain has submitted a proposal to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) to drill and frack 20 wells in the Kimberley. The EPA is expected to deliver its recommendation to Minister Swinbourne at any moment.
Once he receives the EPA’s recommendation, Minister Swinbourne will have the power to either approve or reject Black Mountain’s polluting fracking plans.
Approving this proposal would expose the Kimberley to the long-lasting and harmful impacts of fracking. Black Mountain wants to drill and frack within 2 km of Mt Hardman Creek and just 20 km from the beautiful and iconic Murtawarra Fitzroy River, threatening clean waterways and placing threatened and endangered wildlife at greater risk.
Send a message to Minister Swinbourne and tell him to send the Texan frackers packing—before they get a foothold in the Kimberley.
