Ban Fracking in the Kimberley
Right now we need people power to counter the fracking industry.
The report of the Inquiry into fracking was handed to the government a month ago and they are deliberating on it right now. They could make a decision at any time. If we are going to protect the Kimberley from fracking, we must act now.
Broome, the Dampier Peninsula, Fitzroy River catchment, La Grange and Great Sandy Desert are all in the fracking firing line!
Through years of advocating to protect the Kimberley, we’ve found that the most powerful voices are those of the community; that’s you and your friends — it’s all of us. Writing a personalised letter to Members of Parliament, Ministers and the Premier works; thousands of letters can have a profound impact.
This is the most important decision about the environment that the McGowan government will make. If they say yes to fracking, they’ll be opening the door to more than 40,000 gas fracking wells across the Kimberley. We don’t believe anyone who cares about the Kimberley wants to see this.
