All eligible drink containers in Western Australia are worth 10 cents if returned for recycling at an approved collection point (see below for collection points in the Kimberley).
You can either keep your refund (great!), or donate it to your favourite charity i.e. Environs Kimberley (even better!). It’s a win for recycling and a win for protecting the Kimberley!
To donate your refund to Environs Kimberley, simply quote our scheme ID (C10296595) at your local refund point when you return your containers.
Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible for refund.
There are collection points in the Kimberley at:
- Nirrumbuk Environmental Health and Services, 29 Clementson Street, Broome,
- Marra Worra Worra Recycling, Great Northern Highway, Fitzroy Crossing,
- Winun Ngari, 24 Wells Street, Derby,
- EKJP Halls Creek, 5 Neighbour Street, Halls Creek,
- EKJP Kununurra, Lot 26 Ivanhoe Road, Kununurra,
As well as various other locations across the Kimberley and Western Australia.
To find your nearest collection point, or for more info, see here.
Every little bit counts. This is a great way to support the work of EK, encourage recycling and reduce environmental waste at the same time.
