Whether you live in the Kimberley or are visiting we have lots of activities and opportunities for volunteers, including:
Help us monitor the seagrass in Roebuck Bay
Every 3 months volunteers gather on the shores of Roebuck Bay to enjoy fresh muffins and coffee before heading out onto the mudflats to monitor the health of Broome’s seagrass meadows - one of our Bay’s most fundamental yet fragile ecosystems. Find out more here.
Help at EK’s Annual Art Auction, fundraising concerts, or other EK events
Please see our events page for upcoming events.
Help at our EK market stall
Every Saturday morning we have a community information stall at the Broome Courthouse markets. Volunteers are needed to drive the market trailer, or to work in pairs in two-hour slots on the stall. We would love your help!
Do you have specific skills and want to get more involved with EK? Why not apply for our internship program?
EK's internship program provides the opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, from a variety of backgrounds, to be involved with the scientific, cultural-natural resource management, and advocacy work that we do.
Internships are available for people who are able to contribute for longer periods of time and a minimum of 1 month duration, or a regular period of time on an ongoing weekly basis, will be required.
If you would like to apply for our internship program please email a current CV, along with a short accompanying letter detailing your skills, interests and availability, to [email protected] - we would love to hear from you.
