Whether you live in the Kimberley or are visiting, many of our activities offer opportunities for volunteers.
Help us monitor the seagrass in Roebuck Bay, the staple diet of dugongs and turtles
Every 3 months volunteers gather on the shores of Roebuck Bay to enjoy fresh muffins and coffee before heading out onto the mudflats to monitor the health of Broome’s seagrass meadows - one of our Bay’s most fundamental yet fragile ecosystems. Find out more here.
Help at EK’s Annual Art Auction, our biggest fundaising event of the year
Every year we hold an Annual Art Auction, which brings together artworks from across the Kimberley. Hundreds of people come through the door and there are lots of jobs to be done.
Help at our EK market stall
Every Saturday from April to September, we have a market stall at the Broome Courthouse markets. Volunteers work in pairs in two-hour slots, and are fully briefed beforehand.
Calling all students
If you are studying and have a passion for, or would like to learn more about the nature of the Kimberley, contact EK about our internship program.
