Powering Broome's Renewable Future

You are invited to the launch of a new report by renewable energy experts Sustainable Energy Now. Australia has the world’s highest uptake of solar power, and in April will be producing more electricity from rooftop solar than coal. Meanwhile, Broome is burning 21,000 tonnes of gas every year to power the town, producing approximately 87% of Broome’s electricity.

In 2027, the current contract for supplying Broome's electricity comes to an end, and there’s an opportunity to turn this around - if we all push for change - according to the Broome Clean Energy Study.

Come and find out how Broome can be a solar town.

Hear from Dr Rob Phillips, Sustainable Energy Now, as he launches the Broome Clean Energy Study.

This is a free event but places are limited. Please RSVP as soon as possible.

This event is supported by Environs Kimberley and Sustainable Energy Now.
