Interning for EK has been one of the most welcoming, positive and motivating experiences. The EK team values my input and has supported my ideas. Being surrounded by people who care for the Kimberley and want the best for it, and put Country before themselves, has made me a lifetime supporter and ally as I set out on my career in conservation. At EK, I have had the opportunity to gain Geographic Information System (GIS) and Excel skills, as well as field work skills such as camera trapping and surveying for species. It has been awesome having the opportunity to network with rangers across the Kimberley, share fieldwork experience with them and learn from them.
