The Kimberley is loved by all Australians, and is the home of one of the longest-living continuous First Nations cultures in the world. It must be protected from the dangers of fracking.
• New evidence from Lock the Gate shows that excessive rainfall would cause fracking wastewater ponds to overflow with potentially radioactive and heavy metal-laden contaminants, putting the National Heritage-listed Martuwarra Fitzroy River at risk.
• This is an unacceptable risk to the Traditional Owners, pastoralists and endangered species in the area and downstream who rely on this water.
