Environment Minister Matthew Swinbourn is visiting Broome today and the community held a protest outside the airport calling on him to reject the Valhalla fracking proposal in the Martuwarra Fitzroy River Catchment.
“The Minister for the Environment Matthew Swinbourn can protect the Kimberley from fracking or he will be remembered for opening up this global treasure to a highly polluting industry,” said Environs Kimberley Executive Director Martin Pritchard.
“We are here to remind the Minister that every time he comes to Broome he will be facing a passionate community who will do everything they can to protect Country from fracking.
